Patrick Jones became a Christian in high school and figured out pretty quickly that teaching Bible was going to be a significant part of his life. After he graduated from high school he attended Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, GA), where he became a Biblical Studies major. He went on to complete his MDiv at Columbia International University (Columbia, SC) and his ThM at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL).
Patrick has served in a variety of ministry contexts which include serving as a youth pastor, an assistant pastor, and as a solo pastor. He also has many years of experience teaching New Testament at the undergraduate and graduate level. He has lived in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia as well as the sprawling concrete jungle of Bangkok, Thailand. He is proud to call Bureau Township Community Church his home. Patrick’s desire in ministry is to equip the saints with sound theological foundations so that they can proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to their community.
In his spare time, Patrick primarily spend time with his family (Go Team Jones!). He met his wife, Susan, at Toccoa Falls College. They have two wonderful kids, Levi and Lily. They also have a dog, Theo (short for ‘Most Excellent Theophilus’). He enjoy ’80s action movies, Star Wars, and board games.
